Project 366, Day 8: Perspective

Project 366, Day 8: Perspective

It’s the start of another new week for the project, and so I’ve picked a new theme. This is a relatively easy one to ease you into the new year before any of the more complicated projects start to show up. It’s “My Street”.

I’m very fortunate to live on a bustling city centre street, but I firmly believe that whichever street you live on, you can find something of photographic interest if you look hard enough.

If you don’t agree, you could still partake in this challenge by picking a particular street – the only rule is, every photo you take has to be taken while standing on that street.

This is from the street I live on, where the remnants of the Christmas decorations are still up. On a beautiful blue sky winter day though, I love the way they contrast against the sky.

For this shot I used an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II (one of my favourites for travelling), with an attached Panasonic 7-14mm lens.

It’s set to its widest point, at 7mm (14mm equivalent), I pointed the camera directly up at the sky from almost sitting on the floor – I love the way the circular lines of the lights, and the way the buildings peek in from the side.
