Zeiss has introduced a new wide-angle full frame lens for Sony E-mount cameras – the Zeiss Loxia 21mm f/2.8.
Zeiss Loxia lenses were specifically designed for the Sony A7 camera series and this latest lens looks to be a solid compact option for wide-angle shooting.

Like the other Loxia lenses, the Loxia 21mm f/2.8 lense features the ability to declick the aperture’s locking mechanism using a supplied tool to turn an adjustment screw on the lens mount. Combine this with the long focus throw and the Loxia 21mm lens makes shooting video more effective with the Sony A7 cameras.
The lens is constructed with a full-metal casing, along with metal focus and aperture rings. A sealing ring around the lens mount provides weather and dust protection between the camera and lens.
