Compagnia-Imago has launched a Kickstarter campaign to bring wood film canisters to analog photographers. The canisters are a blend of real wood and organic PLA, which is made from biodegradable and compostable materials.
If you develop or refill your own film, the top cap of the canister will screw off for faster positioning and easier management during the development phase.
The film rolls are as low as $10 (€9) for a single roll of ISO 400 or ISO 200/25 Exp and you can purchase up to 50 rolls for €380 (about $438 USD).
The ISO 200 film comes in a natural wood canister, while the ISO 400 film uses a bamboo wood canister. Every roll ships with a seed for a new tree.
Their goal is to raise $28,819 by October 2, 2015 with delivery for pledges happening in April 2016. Find out more here on the Compagnia-Imago Kickstarter page.
