In this video I’ll show you how to quickly create easy-to-share web photo galleries using Lightroom. The trick is saving the web galleries to your Dropbox public folder!
Note: This trick only works if you’re a paying subscriber to Dropbox. You won’t have access to, or be able to create, a public folder if you’re not a paying subscriber. If you are a paying subscriber to Dropbox and you can’t find your Public folder then go here to activate it: https://www.dropbox.com/enable_public_folder
Here’s how to create a shareable web photo gallery using Lightroom’s Web module, and Dropbox:
1. Select the photos you want to create a gallery of in Lightroom’s Library module (it might be easiest for you to create a collection).
2. Head over to the Web module in Lightroom and customize the gallery (design, thumbnails, image size, title, watermark)
3. Export the gallery from the Web module, save it in your Dropbox Public folder.
4. Go to your Dropbox Public folder and select the newly created gallery folder. Inside that folder right click on the index.html file and select “Share Dropbox link”. This will copy the link to your clipboard. That’s the link to the photo gallery you just created!
Here’s the example photo gallery I created in the video above
Hope you found that helpful! Now go and create some photo galleries and share them!
