DJI Phantom 4 Advanced Unveiled

DJI Phantom 4 Advanced

DJI just announced its new Phantom 4 Advanced quadcopter to serve as a replacement for the original Phantom 4.

The new Phantom 4 Advanced is a slight step down from the Phantom 4 Pro and offers some pretty special features, including a 1-inch 20MP sensor that shoots 4K video at up to 60fps with a 100Mbps bitrate.

The flight time is also bumped to 30 minutes and it is available (as the Phantom 4 Advanced+ model) with a remote that has a built-in 5.5″ 1080p display. The Plus model features an integrated upgraded Lightbridge HD video transmission system with a maximum transmission range of 4.3mi. The display is twice as bright as smartphones for better visibility in daylight and offers a five-hour battery life.

The Phantom 4 Advanced also has obstacle avoidance thanks to its dual forward vision sensors that can see up to 30m in front of the drone, and can auto brake, hover or detour in front of obstacles within 15-meters of it.

The DJI Phantom 4 Advanced ships on April 30 and retails for $1349 with a basic remote, or $1649 with the built-in display remote. More details here on DJI’s website.
