The Nikon D5600 is making its way to the US after it was previously launched in Europe and Asia back in 2016.
The D5600 adds Nikon’s SnapBridge tech, which uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to create an “always on” connection with a compatible smart device to facilitate quick and easy sharing of images. For the rest of the camera, it mostly maintains the specs found in the D5500 predecessor.
I absolutely loved the Nikon D5500, so there is no problem in my book with making a few minor tweaks for a new camera model in the D5600 – particularly, for a mid-range entry-level model like the D5xxx line.
The key spec features for the D5600 include the following:
- 24.2MP DX-Format CMOS Sensor
- EXPEED 4 Image Processor
- 3.2″ 1.037m-Dot Vari-Angle Touchscreen
- Full HD 1080p Video Recording at 60 fps
- Multi-CAM 4800DX 39-Point AF Sensor
- ISO 100-25600 and 5 fps Shooting
- SnapBridge Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with NFC (*new feature)
- Time-Lapse Movie Recording (*new feature)
