Sigma recently announced a new 85mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art lens to add to a powerful line of primes, alongside the existing 20mm f/1.4, 24mm f/1.4, 50mm f/1.4 and 35mm f/1.4 Art lenses.
The much-anticipated 85mm f/1.4 Art lens improves on the optics and AF system of its predecessor, while adding full-time manual focus and the new Art lens design. The staple portrait option fills out the line with a professional grade option. If it is anything like other recent Sigma Art lenses, we should be in for a real treat.
Spec-wise, it’s got two special low dispersion element, a rounded 9-blade diaphragm and a brass bayonet mount. It’s also compatible with the Sigma USB Dock for fine tuning the lens with your camera body and/or shooting style.
The new Sigma f/1.4 DG HSM Art lens retails for $1199 and should be available in late October for Canon, Nikon and Sigma mounts. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
