Yuneec recently launched its compact Breeze drone that is controlled by an app on a mobile device. The target audience is clearance the novice user with its five automatic modes that essentially allow the drone to fly itself.
The Yuneec Breeze can fly indoors and outdoors. It has optical flow and infrared positioning sensors that allow it to hold its position while minimizing drift both indoors and outdoors. Based on the launch video, it appears that it is designed to avoid objects on its own as well. In addition to the auto-pilot modes, the Breeze drone can be piloted manually using the app on your mobile device.
The camera on the Breeze carries some impressive specs as well. It can capture up to 4K video and can stream 720p video. It will also capture 13MP still images.
It ships with 2 batteries (with up to 12 minutes flight time each), prop guards and a case. It retails for $499.99 and is available for pre-order here at B&H Photo.
