Alongside the new X-A3, Fuji has announced the XF 23mm f/2 R WR lens, a wide-angle prime with a 35mm equivalent focal length on Fuji’s X-Series cameras. The new XF 23mm lens is built with speed in mind thanks to a stepping AF motor for silent and fast operation.
Fuji claims AF acquisition speeds of 0.05 seconds on the X-Pro2 and X-T2 camera bodies. The new lens also features a weather and dust resistant design (note the WR moniker in the model name). It features 10 elements in 6 groups with 2 aspherical elements. A 9-blade aperture should provide a smooth and circular bokeh. And it offers a minimum focus distance of less than 9 inches.
The Fuji XF 23mm f/2 R WR lens will ship in September for $449.95 and is available in a black or silver finish. You can pre-order it here at B&H Photo.
