We’ve been working on this tutorial for months and we’re so excited for you to see it!
Our goal with this new tutorial is to show photographers how to shoot and edit video. See, video is becoming insanely popular these days. And almost all photography cameras and cellphones can now shoot high quality video, but most photographers aren’t taking advantage of video (and the awesome benefits it offers!).
So we set out to make it quick and easy to learn! (And fun too!)
To give you an idea of what you’ll be able to create after going through our tutorial, here is an example of a video we created a few years ago:
The above video was shot using a Canon 5D mk II DSLR and a 70-200mm f/2.8 IS lens
And here’s a really quick video (only 22 seconds) that was captured during our recent trip to Costa Rica. What’s neat about this video is that it was shot and edited entirely on the iPhone 6s Plus (and it was even recorded at the ultra high definition 4K resolution!).
Our son never tires of watching the above video – there’s something really magical about seeing and hearing a memory in a video! I especially liked how I was able to edit the video right on my phone (using the iMovie app) – which I think works really well for short little clips like this. That’s a really big thing: video doesn’t have to be hard to shoot, or time consuming to edit! And the rewards of making these types of little movies are huge!
