Tony Northrup posted a video talking about future cameras and specs and what he thinks is coming next from several camera makers. You can watch the video above. Notable cameras in his prediction list include:
- Canon 6D Mark II at Photokina
- Canon 7D Mark III at Photokina
- Canon 5D Mark IV (75MP) in 2017
- Sony A9 (24MP) at Photokina
- Sony A9R (75MP) at Photokina
- Sony A7 III in 2017
- Sony A7S III in 2017
- Sony A7R III in 2017
- Nikon D820 in 2017
I’m banking on a 5D Mark IV this year, so I disagree with him on that one. I think Canon has pretty clearly separated the 5Ds and the 5D Mark III camera lines, which is why I think it is okay to expect a 5D Mark IV this year. The others are up in the air for me. I also agree that the Sony A-mount is done, which is something I’ve said for years. What do you guys think about these predictions?
