Blackmagic announced its new Video Assist 4K external video recorder this week at NAB 2016.
It follows the original Video Assist, which captures 1080p video footage. The new Video Assist 4K can capture 4K video (as the model name suggests) at up to 30p frame rates.
The new model features dual SD card slots that are compatible with the UHS-II bus format, which allows for faster writes speeds that 4K footage demands. It has HDMI and 6G-SDI inputs and outputs for use with a wide range of cameras. It also has a 1080p touchscreen display.
The Blackmagic Video Assist 4K retails for $995 and is available now. Check it out here at B&H Photo.
