When Canon announced the ME20F-SH camera last year, its rated ISO 4,000,000 spec blew us away. Now, Canon is extending the functionality of the camera with a ME20F-SH Cinema Kit option (something users had already been doing anyway).
The new ME20F-SH Cinema Kit option includes:
- Atomos Shogun Flame external recorder
- Zacuto mini baseplate
- a SanDisk SSD pack
- Noga Arm
- HDMI cable
- additional battery
- battery and cheese plate
- D-Tap/D-Tap cable
- XLR cable
- battery charger that can also be used as a power adapter
The Atomos Shogun Flame itself sells for $1695. So the value is definitely there without considering the other accessories – assuming this camera fits your needs in the first place.
Canon lists the ME20F-SH Cinema Kit retail price at $31,000 (the camera alone retails for $30,000). However, street prices put the camera at $20k and the new Cinema Kit option is already available for pre-order at $21,000. Check out both options for the ME20F-SH here at B&H Photo.
