The Hasselblad H6D-100c is a new 100MP medium format camera. It uses Sony’s 100MP CMOS sensor inside, which measures 53.4 x 40mm (compared to the 36 x 24mm sensors we see in “full frame” DSLRs). It will also be available in a 50MP option.

As the first H6D model, it ushers in a new platform to follow the H5D series. The H6D has a new 3-inch, 920k-dot resolution touchscreen display, USB 3.0 Type-C, CFast and SD card slots and WiFi connectivity for use with iOS devices.

Hasselblad touts the H6D’s 16-bit color capable of capturing up to 15-stops of dynamic range. Additionally, the H6D-100c can capture 4K and 1080 HD video, while the H6D-50c is limited to 1080p.

The updated camera doesn’t come cheap though. The Hasseblad H6D-100c retails for $32,995, while the H6D-50c retails for $25,995. Both models should ship in June and are available for pre-order here at B&H Photo.
