Photograph: “Kiss in Girona” by Jordi Corbilla (username “Jordi Corbilla” on Flickr).

Why I picked this image: As a street photographer I do encounter many scenes of people kissing in public. And each time I have to make a decision if it is ok for me to capture this candid moment of not? Is this a situation where I should respect the persons privacy in public or is this simply a wonderful moment in time worth to be captured?
With this image taken by Jordi I would not have second thoughts to capture it. Jordi managed to approach this scene from a back-lit situation only showing the silhouette of the couple kissing. And while we don’t see their face we do feel the emotion in this image. This is probably a couple on vacation that found this romantic spot in Girona, Spain. (Pay attention to these steps in a future episode of Game of Thrones).
I do like the warm color instead of a B&W image here and I also appreciate that the shadow of the couple is fully visible and not cut off.
