Photo of the day: black diamond

Why I picked this image: There are few reasons that made me pick this image. First of all I like the symmetry with the diagonal lines crossing over the circle (kudos to the architect). Secondly the contrast and B&W conversion look pleasing to me  and point nicely to the human elements in the frame (I do like harder contrasts in my B&W street images). And lastly I see layers of commonalities that the people appear to share. The man on the conveyor is interacting with his smart phone. The woman on the conveyor seems to be carrying a tablet pc. The man at the round table is just opening his notebook. The woman in the shadow on the upper left side looks like her face is lit by a smart phone.

This is a daily scene that is representative of our social behaviour and lack of face to face interaction with each other. In this image I find it do be shown in a very artistic way that I could see hanging on a wall.

Good job Torsten!
