The Panasonic GF8 was announced today as a very mild update to the already discontinued GF7. It’s not coming to the US, but don’t worry, you’re not missing much that the GF7 didn’t already offer.

Panasonic has essentially upgraded the firmware of the GF7 to make the GF8 camera, which it is marketing as a camera made for selfies.
The GF8 will be available in several colors – pink, silver, brown and orange – in a faux leather wrap. Just don’t expect to see it outside of Asia unless you look for an imported version. For price comparison, the GF7 retailed for $599 at launch last summer.
