Yuneec Unveils Typhoon H Drone with 6 Rotors

Yuneec Typhoon H

Yuneec remains below the radar for many; however, the company continues to be on the forefront of many tech advances in the drone industry. The new Yuneec Typhoon H steps up from the quadcopter form we’ve seen from other drones in its size and price range and provides a hexacopter design (i.e., six rotors) with some rather high-end features.

The Typhoon H also features a 360-degree gimbal 4K camera and retractable landing gear. The Typhoon H also adds new flight and image capture modes including Point of Interest, Orbit, Curved Cable and Journey. It also has an ultrasonic proximity detection to assist in avoiding large obstacle, as well as a failsafe system that allows the drone to remain stable and land if one of the motors fails.

The props have a quick disconnect feature and the rotor arms can quickly fold down for transport in a custom-designed hardcase/backpack.
