Olympus has announced the M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm f/4 IS PRO lens for Micro Four Thirds mounts. It provides an equivalent 600mm field of view. It has optical image stabilization that provides up to 4-stops of shake reduction. It also offers 5-Axis Sync Image Stabilization that works in conjunction with the sensor-based image stabilization on certain Olympus cameras.
The lens features three HR elements and one E-HR element for a compact size while correcting for curvature and spherical aberrations. Additionally it has three Super ED Elements and Z Coating Nano to minimize flare, ghosting and reflections. It has a close focus distance of 4.6′.
The lens is also compatible with the Olympus MC-14 1.4x Teleconverter, which provides an 840mm equivalent reach.
