KeyMission 360: Nikon’s first action camera records 360° video in 4K UHD

Nikon’s announcement of the KeyMission 360 didn’t provide full details of the new Nikon action camera’s specifications, but explains that the KeyMission 360 features an image sensor and lens combination on two opposite sides of the camera, and images from each are combined in-camera to create a single realistic, high-definition, 360° image.

The Nikon KeyMission 360 is also waterproof to depths of 30 metres without a separate housing, and can also resist dust, shocks and low temperatures.

Other features include electronic vibration reduction, enabled via applications during playback, to reduce the effects of camera shake.

The KeyMission 360 – the first in Nikon’s range of new action cameras – will be released this spring along with a variety of dedicated accessories.

A Nikon KeyMission 360 price wasn’t available at the time of writing, but we will update this story when that information becomes available.
