This Month: Demystifying Import

Understanding Lightroom’s import process is the key to understanding the Lightroom paradigm. The Import screen has been big news this month after Adobe released a change in the CC 2015.2/6.2 update that drastically changed its appearance and its functionality. The negative reaction to that change resulted in Adobe announcing it will be rolling back to the original Import screen in the next Lightroom update.

We’re excited to have 2 guests this month! Sharad Mangalick, Lightroom Product Manager, who joins us to discuss the Import process, the different ways to accomplish it, and some of the well intentioned reasons behind the recent interface change. We’re also lucky to have Helen Bradley, a photographer and Lightroom educator who will help us explore various Import workflows and share her perspective from helping other Lightroom users. Please help us welcome our guests and get your questions ready!

Join regular hosts Rob Sylvan and Levi Sim live to ask questions about anything Lightroom and be entered to win some terrific prizes, too. This episode will be useful for all levels of Lightroom users from beginner to advanced.

Tune in Live to enter the raffles for some terrific prizes from our sponsors. If you can’t make the live event you won’t be able to win any prizes, but you can always watch the archived video here on Photofocus.

Hosts Rob Sylvan and Levi Sim hangout every month exploring Lightroom to help you smooth your workflow and finish your photographs with the vision in your mind’s eye.

The video will broadcast live right here, and be embedded here forever; but if you want to ask questions and be entered for a prize, you’ve gotta go to the G+ page here. Brought to you HDRsoft, makers of Photomatix for HDR.
