Canon USA Store Posts New EOS M10 and PowerShot G5 X

Canon USA has gone ahead and posted full listings for the new EOS M10 mirrorless camera and PowerShot G5 X in its online store. There’s still no press release yet but it’s pretty clear that Canon is officially launching these cameras.

As previously leaked, the PowerShot G5 X features a 1-inch 20.2MP CMOS sensor and a DIGIC 6 processor. The lens is a 24-100mm f/1.8-2.8 equivalent with a 9-blade aperture. It can focus as close as two inches. It also features a built-in 2.36M-dot electronic viewfinder and a vari-angle rear LCD.

The Canon Powershot G5 X is listed for $799.99.

Canon EOS M10

The Canon EOS M10 is the latest mirrorless camera in the EOS M line and seems to be an entry-level product. It ships with the new EF-M 15-45mm IS STM lens.Canon EOS M10 rear

The EOS M10 features an 18MP APS-C format sensor and DIGIC 6 processor. It offers a sensitivity range of ISO 100-12,800 (expandable to ISO 25,600). Of course, it has an EOS M mount and is compatible with EF and EF-S lenses using a dedicated adapter.

The EOS M10 also features Canon’s Hybrid CMOS AF II system, which has proved excellent in live view autofocus thus far. The M10 has a 3-inch rear touchscreen that the pivot 180° for shooting at a variety of angles, including selfie shots. The M10 also records 1080p video at 24p/30p frame rates with touch-activated AF and manual controls available.
