DCW Reader Review: the Sony Xperia Z5’s camera (Sponsored)

We need three Digital Camera World readers to review the Sony Xperia Z5’s camera!

Sony Xperia Z5 camera

You can’t buy the Xperia Z5 in the shops yet but we’ve got samples to loan to three of our readers to review for Digital Camera World. If you’re one of the lucky three selected you’ll walk away with a new smartphone worth £549.

Why the Sony Xperia Z5?
Inside the Xperia Z5 is a 23-megapixel Exmor RS CMOS sensor, which at 1/2.3 inches is the same
size as in many compact cameras. That’s paired with a 24mm (equivalent) Sony G lens and Bionz
processor.

There’s also an ultra-fast autofocus system that combines the power of contrast and
phase detection to get subjects sharp in as little as 0.03 seconds. What’s more, the Z5’s
waterproof and dust-tight design means you don’t need to worry about shooting in the rain or
adverse conditions.

The Xperia Z5 promises to be a great camera and of course comes with Sony’s smartphone
technology so you can stay in touch and share images quickly and easily. We want to hear what you think of the Xperia Z5 and the images the phone’s camera produces.

What will I have to do?
Each participant will be required to shoot to a simple brief and write three short reviews over a
period of three weeks.

  • During the first week we’d like you to concentrate on shooting portraits – they can be formal or informal – then tell us how you got on with the camera and what you think of the images.
  • For the second review we’d like to hear how the Z5 faired when shooting cityscapes.
  • The shooting brief for the final week is to capture the beauty and colour of autumn, but we want to hear your overall thoughts on the Z5 and what has impressed you most about its camera.

Everyone is welcome to enter. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never reviewed a phone or camera
before, or your grammar is a bit rusty.

DCW’s editors will be there to guide you through the process and help tidy up your reviews. This is a chance to get your thoughts and images on a site read by millions.

How do I enter?
Either leave us a message in the Disqus comments section below, or drop us a line at digitalcamera@futurenet.com. If emailing us, make sure you put “DCW Reader Review: Sony Xperia Z5″ in the subject line.

Either way, make sure to add a sentence or two letting us know why you think you’re the perfect fit for the challenge and what you normally like to photograph, along with a link to your online portfolio.

We’d also like to know your Twitter handle so readers can follow your thoughts on the Z5 as you road test it, using our #DCWSonyZ5 hashtag.

Leave a comment / send your email before the final hour of Monday 5th October 2015, or forever regret missing out on the chance of getting hold of this cool smartphone before anyone else!

What’s in it for me?
Well, for starters YOU’LL GET A NEW PHONE worth £549 as soon as the Xperia Z5 goes on sale.

Well, you wouldn’t want to keep the sample would you? As soon as the challenge is finished and you send the model back we’ll send you a shiny new one straight off the factory line.

How are the three readers chosen?
A shortlist of three entrants will be chosen at random, with the final three participants being chosen by a panel of judges from Sony, Digital Camera World, and an independent party.

The three participants will be required to comply with Future’s standard competition T&Cs, which can be viewed here. In addition to these, readers should note that their personal data will only be seen by the judging panel.

Readers must live in the UK to enter.
