We’re using ‘Photowalk’ to mean a gathering of photographers, and we’re doing it twice in Phoenix. Rather than just walking the streets in 100-degree heat, we’ll meet at my hotel as a launch pad to practice making portraits with various lighting techniques. I’m really excited because Vanelli will be joining in on this one, and between the two of us we’ve made tens of thousands of portraits lit with speedlights and studio strobes.
We’re really pleased to team up with the PAC for this event–check out their groups around the world. This is a free event.
This is a hands-on shooting time: bring your camera and your speedlights/flashes. Don’t worry if you don’t have any lights, we’ll share tools. The retouching demonstrations will not be hands-on (it just isn’t feasible), so you can leave your computer at home. We’ll show you how we use Perfectly Clear with Lightroom and Photoshop to make a big impact on our work (they’re our sponsor, after all).
We’re doing this twice, and both times will be different, so feel free to come both nights.
