Photofocus Party Model Photos

Photofocus fans, authors, contributors and vendors get together about once a year during Photoshop World in Las Vegas. The author – contributor team has breakfast with readers, meets with vendors to find out what’s coming that we can share with you our readers. The team also has a lot of fun. This year it was at the Pinball Hall of Fame on Tropicana a little way off the strip. Since Photofocus is all about photography, we had to make photographs. I knew that Levi Sim and Vanelli would have something to shoot next to the colorful lights of easily hundreds of working pinball machines from times way gone by. Only Vegas!

Jennie

Imagine my surprise when Vanelli handed me the remote for the lights and said “We have a model for you to work with…” Jennie Carroll shouted “Hi Kevin!” then ran over to give me a hug. It’s great to photograph people you really enjoy working with. Jennie is one of the rare models that can smile super big without squinting. Her eyes stay wide. Vanelli hasn’t sent the photos of us together yet. I’ll bet he’ll post it sometime soon. Anyway.

Tom Curley is the business development manager of Panasonic’s LUMIX Camera Professional Services. He was there playing classic pinball as Jennie Carroll looks on. Jennie has modeled for Tom at Panasonic’s booth during trade shows.

Authors have fun…

So that’s all I have. After shooting different setups at the same exposure settings, it was time for me to enjoy the party, chat with people like Tom who help us writers with information to share with Photofocus readers. What will the team come up with next year? Stay tuned.
